Although we love our Moms every day,  each year we are given one special day to formally celebrate her and all she does for us. Each and every May for Mother’s Day we get to recognize her hard work, and thank her for being Mom. We know that this year,  you might not be able to spend time with your Mom (or grandma, aunts, whomever that you cherish most!) in person. While this may change how you celebrate, it does not change the meaning behind this important holiday! Here are a few suggestions on how to connect with your mom on this unique Mother’s Day whether you are together, or apart!

1. Serve her Breakfast in Bed

After all of the years Mom has treated you like a princess, Mother’s Day is the day to treat her like a Queen. What’s more special than waking up to your favorite breakfast spread? Eating it from the comfort of your own bed! May we suggest Beckon’s Overnight Baked Brioche French Toast? It’s super simple, super delicious, and something Mom will LOVE. If you can’t be with mom this Mother’s Day, consider dropping a premade breakfast tray at her door, complete with instructions to eat in bed!

2. Spa Day

If you’re lucky enough to be socially distancing with your Mom this Mother’s Day, treat her to a pamper session! Give her that mani-pedi or facial she has been missing so much. Chances are she’s been in need of some R&R — let her sit back and relax while you do the work. This is also a great opportunity to ask Mom those questions you’ve been dying to know the answers to. We found some fun ones here! When in-person pampering isn’t possible, try creating a care package with face masks, nail polish, bath bombs, and a pint of Beckon!

3. Decorate her Front Door

A fun way to spread some joy to her this Mother’s Day is to decorate her front door! Whether you’re with Mom or apart, this fun surprise will let her and all the neighbors know how much she is appreciated.  If you’re social distancing and planning on dropping off a card or gift for your gal, dress it up with a fun wreath, sign, balloons, or streamers!

4. Pint Movie Night  – Mother – Daughter Edition

Whether together or apart, a movie night is the perfect way to connect with your favorite gal. Ask Mom what her favorite movie is, pick out your favorite pint of Beckon and watch it together. If you’re apart, try using Netflix Party! This new way to watch synchronizes video playback and adds a group chat feature to your favorite Netflix shows. That way you can watch, eat, and enjoy even while you’re apart!

5. Virtual Ice Cream Social (Distancing!)

Raise a pint to the woman who raised you – for a virtual ice cream social (distancing!).  There’s nothing Mom loves more than seeing her baby! Grab your pint of Beckon, sign on and set up a Zoom, and then play games, watch virtual concerts or just chat away with a pint in hand! If you have multiple Moms in your life, this is a great way to bring them all together to celebrate their day.
